In a move to allow the residents of the City of Manila to actively partake in the upcoming Feast of the Black Nazarene, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has officially declared January 9, Tuesday, as a special non-working day. This proclamation, denoted as Proclamation No. 434, was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin on January 4.
The proclamation emphasizes the importance of providing the people of Manila with ample opportunity to engage in the celebration and fully enjoy the observance of the Feast of the Black Nazarene, an event deeply rooted in cultural and religious significance.
