Police have arrested one of the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a couple aboard a bus in Nueva Ecija last month.

Identified as Allan Delos Santos y Angeles, he was apprehended in Dilasag, Aurora, with an outstanding warrant for statutory rape and sexual assault.

Nueva Ecija Provincial Director PCOL Richard Caballero revealed that Delos Santos, a known gun-for-hire operating in Nueva Ecija and Isabela, was located with the help of an informant. Following his arrest on November 20, Delos Santos reportedly provided an extra-judicial confession, implicating the victim's daughter, who allegedly contacted him to carry out the murders in exchange for a sum of 60,000 pesos.

A criminal complaint for two counts of murder has been filed against Delos Santos and four others before the Prosecutor's Office in Nueva Ecija on December 11, 2023. PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. stated that a continuous police operation is underway to apprehend the remaining individuals involved and bring them to justice.
