TAPE Inc Downplays Role Of TVJ In Success Of Eat Bulaga As Other Stars Leave Show

Dapitan City Mayor Seth Frederick "Bullet" Pal Jalosjos took to Instagram to express his thoughts amid the departure of the iconic trio known as TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon) from TAPE, Inc.
The news of TVJ's exit from Eat Bulaga and GMA 7 Network, their home for the past 28 years, sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry.
In an Instagram story,Jalosjos shared his sentiments about the recent developments. He expressed sadness over the turn of events but also acknowledged and respected the decision made by the hosts to leave. He recognized the collective effort of the entire team, including the talents, crew, and loyal viewers, who have contributed to the show's success over the past 43 years.
TAPE, Inc. the production company behind Eat Bulaga, also released an official statement expressing their gratitude to the dedicated individuals who have worked tirelessly to make the show the number one noontime program. They emphasized that the success of Eat Bulaga was not solely reliant on the three hosts but was a result of the collaborative efforts of everyone involved.
The statement further mentioned the support provided by GMA 7 Network in elevating Eat Bulaga and ensuring its continued growth. The production company assured the public and loyal supporters that they remain committed to providing quality entertainment through the show's various segments.

Meanwhile, Pauline Luna, another member of the Eat Bulaga family and wife of Vic Sotto, shared a letter addressed to Mr. Romeo Jalosjos, Jr., the President and CEO of TAPE, Inc. The letter stated that following recent events, the hosts Paolo Ballesteros, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Ariel Manalo, Walter James Bayola, Maine Mendoza, and Ryan Agoncillo would also be bidding farewell to TAPE Inc. starting from May 31, 2023.
The departure of the hosts prompted an immediate response from the entire production team, including writers, sales personnel, production staff, and cameramen, who decided to follow suit.
