The National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea has reported that the China Coast Guard vessel 5203 deployed water cannon against the Philippine resupply vessel M/L Kalayaan during a resupply mission in Ayungin Shoal this Friday November 10, 2023

.The incident has sparked heightened tensions in the disputed waters, with the Department of Foreign Affairs swiftly lodging a diplomatic protest against China.
