The Philippine entertainment industry mourns the loss of a distinguished figure as veteran actor Robert Arevalo, known to many as Robert Francisco Ylagan, peacefully passed away at the age of 85.

The news was shared by his daughter, Anna Ylagan, on her Facebook page earlier on August 10. In a touching update, Anna Ylagan expressed, "Today is the day that the Lord has chosen to take our dearest Papa home. Robert Francisco Ylagan, a.k.a. Robert Arevalo, peacefully passed away at 10:17 am this morning, Aug. 10, 2023. Praise God for His mercy and grace. We are grateful that He has given us the best Papa one can ever wish for. Thank you for loving us the way you did, Pa."

Robert Arevalo, a prominent name in Philippine cinema and theater, left an indelible mark on the industry with his remarkable performances. His work spanned decades, and his legacy will continue to influence generations to come.

The family has announced that a wake for the late actor will be held over the weekend at Arlington Chapels, Araneta Ave. The 'Solace Rooms 1 & 2' will open their doors to friends, colleagues, and fans who wish to pay their respects.

The wake is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm and will conclude on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at midnight.

After a private cremation ceremony held in the presence of family members, a public celebration of Robert Ylagan's life will take place starting at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Mass will be held at 7:30 pm on the same day, followed by another Mass at 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Arlington Memorial Chapels.

The Ylagan family has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and condolences from friends, colleagues, and fans.
