The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) expressed deep sorrow as they announced the passing of the revered actress. Angie Ferro, known for her professionalism and remarkable contributions to film, television, and theater, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of Filipinos and the global entertainment community.

One of her most notable achievements was her captivating role in Lav Diaz’s critically acclaimed masterpiece, "Evolution of a Filipino Family." Her ability to embody complex characters with depth and authenticity garnered her accolades and admiration from peers and audiences alike.

Furthermore, she left an unforgettable impression with her role as "Lola Igna," a character etched into the hearts of those who witnessed her exceptional performance in Eduardo Roy Jr.’s film. Her portrayal was so powerful that it earned her the prestigious Best Actress award at the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP).
