In an exclusive interview, TV Host Vice Ganda clarified rumors surrounding the professional relationship with his talent, Awra Briguela. Putting all speculations to rest, Vice Ganda stated unequivocally, "Yeah, she is still my talent."
Addressing the swirling rumors that had caught the public's attention, Vice Ganda expressed bewilderment at the unverified claims. "Alam mo nagtataka ako kung saan nila nakukuha (You know, I wonder where they're getting this information). One, no one asked me, ikaw lang ang nagtanong sa 'kin (you're the only one who asked me). I was not interviewed by anyone, so nagtataka ako kung saan nila nakukuha 'yung chikang iniwan ko si Awra (I'm wondering where they're getting the gossip that I left Awra). Na-interview ba nila si Awra? (Did they interview Awra?)"
Vice Ganda shed light on the complexities of the situation, revealing that Awra's inability to be interviewed due to certain circumstances had paved the way for clout-chasing and the misuse of their names. "Kasi si Awra cannot be interviewed by anyone, bawal kasi siya ma-interview (Because Awra cannot be interviewed by anyone, she's not allowed to be interviewed). Kaya grabe talaga 'yung clout-chasing, 'yung para magamit 'yung pangalan ko, 'yung pangalan ni Awra (That's why clout-chasing is really intense, using my name, using Awra's name)," he added.
Regarding the recent incident involving Briguela's arrest, Vice Ganda revealed his approach to the situation. "Pinagpahinga ko muna siya ng ilang araw... para mahimasmasan. Tapos ako din papahupain ko kasi siyempre galit din ako, mainit din ang ulo ko (I gave her a few days to rest... to calm down. And I also cooled myself off because of course, I was angry and my temper was flaring)."
Vice Ganda affirmed that he had engaged in a conversation with the young star's father to address the concerns at hand. "‘Yung usapan na 'to, everything is coming from concern, love and support (This conversation is all about concern, love, and support)." He emphasized that the intention was rooted in their mutual growth and wellbeing.
Dispelling any notions of a separation, Vice Ganda stated firmly, "'Yung mga issues na hindi ko na muna ita-tackle, bahala na 'yan sa susunod (I won't address the issues for now, let those be for later). Ang gusto kong klaruhin ay hindi kami naghihiwalay ni Awra (What I want to clarify is that Awra and I are not parting ways). Hindi ko siya iiwanan lalung-lalo na sa posisyon ng buhay niya, she needs guidance and I will be there for her (I won't abandon her, especially in her current life situation; she needs guidance, and I will be there for her)," he added with a note of reassurance.
On Briguela's current state, Vice Ganda reported, "She's okay. She's trying to be better every day."
Vice Ganda urged reflection and personal growth from the incident, stating, "Wala tayong magagawa, nangyari na 'yun. Magsisisihan pa ba tayo? Magmumurahan pa ba tayo? What can we learn from this especially you? What can you learn from this experience? How can this experience strengthen you as a person and empower you to be a better person? (We can't change what happened. Are we going to blame each other? Are we going to argue? What can we learn from this, especially you? What can you learn from this experience? How can this experience make you stronger and empower you to be a better person?)"
