A dramatic collision between a delivery truck and vehicles on Katipunan Avenue has captured the attention of netizens after a viral video surfaced, showcasing the incident.

The video, uploaded by Marical Carulla, who was coincidentally on the scene when the collision occurred, has left viewers shocked and concerned.

The incident unfolded on Sunday (August 20,2023) past 12 midnight, when comedian and television personality Vice Ganda's car was struck by a delivery truck in the Katipunan area of Quezon City. Vice Ganda recounted the details of the accident during an interview, revealing that the impact felt like an explosion from behind.

In a vivid account of the events, Vice Ganda shared, "I heard a loud bang, and my security guard cursed. I asked, 'What happened?' When I rolled down the window, I saw the cars in that condition. I saw the truck had collided with a Benz, which in turn hit another car, and apparently, there was more damage behind me."

Miraculously, Vice Ganda and their companions emerged from the collision unscathed. "So I checked, and both of them were just staring blankly. A young couple, probably boyfriend and girlfriend. They were in a daze, so I knocked on the window and said, 'Get out; you need to get some fresh air.'"

Vice Ganda also approached the driver of the delivery truck to assess their condition. "The driver didn't say anything. I asked, 'Were you asleep? Were you intoxicated?' But they just stared, pale and speechless."

Following the incident, the vehicles that were involved in the collision are planning to file appropriate charges against the truck driver. However, Vice Ganda expressed concern for the driver and their predicament. "Undoubtedly, the driver is at fault. But it's also heartbreaking to think about how they'll manage the damage to the Cadillac and Mercedes Benz, plus the other vehicles they hit. How will they handle that? So, my plea is for them to assist the driver as well."
