Vice President Inday Sara has been implicated by a self-proclaimed witness in alleged connections to Oplan Tokhang, the Davao Death Squad, and incidents of extrajudicial killings in Davao.
Prior to this revelation, during her tenure as Vice Mayor and Mayor of Davao City, she vehemently denied any association with these controversial issues.
Expressing her disbelief and frustration, the Vice President highlighted the sudden emergence of a witness against her only after being elected as Vice President. She now finds herself among the accused facing charges at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
She also emphasized that aside from timing, there is no concrete evidence linking her to the alleged offenses. She contends that her name has been unfairly dragged into the controversy merely to implicate her in the ICC case.
She also strongly opposes the ICC's interference in the country's judiciary, considering it a violation of Philippine sovereignty. She views this as a disrespect to the dignity of the Filipino people and the honor of the Philippines as a nation.
Unyielding in her stance, she challenges those behind the accusations, urging the witness and anyone supporting these claims to file murder charges against her within the Philippine legal system.
