Actress Ruffa Gutierrez has publicly acknowledged her relationship with actor-politician Herbert Bautista. In a candid interview with Karen Davila, uploaded on Davila’s YouTube channel, Ruffa and her daughters, Lorin and Venice, opened up about the blossoming romance and their thoughts on it.

When asked about her mother's relationship status, Lorin expressed a desire for her mother's happiness, regardless of whether it involves marriage, a long-term partner, or even a life surrounded by cats. "I just want her to be happy," she said. "Me and my sister don't get too overly involved."

Venice, echoing her sister's sentiments, described Bautista as "lovely," noting that he suits Ruffa well and brings her immense joy. She praised her mother’s judgment in choosing partners, saying, "She is ecstatic about him. Of course, I'm very happy for her."

Ruffa shared her preference for a quieter, more personal approach to her relationship, contrasting with the trend of flaunting relationships on social media. "It's not there to flaunt like 'Hey Baby good morning' on Instagram... a quiet personal life leads to more happiness," she said.

In response to Davila’s questions about the seriousness of the relationship, Ruffa affirmed her commitment. "I never go into a relationship that's not serious. I'm always the serious type."

The daughters also recounted how the relationship began, with Venice revealing that Ruffa and Bautista met on the set of "The House Arrest of Us." Their first date included Lorin and Venice, ensuring everyone felt comfortable. Venice fondly recalled, "Sinundo kami sa bahay tapos sinama 'yung mga anak ko... I wanna meet them and to make sure that they're okay with him and everyone is comfortable."

Both daughters appreciate Bautista's positive influence on their mother, particularly his encouragement for Ruffa to return to school. Lorin highlighted this, saying, "He really encouraged that for her," indicating a meaningful and supportive relationship.
