The first-ever International Shrine in the Philippines and Southeast Asia was solemnly declared amid a grand ceremony. The Symbolical Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary set the stage for the new chapter in the history of the International Shrine, symbolizing a profound journey under the guidance of Most Rev. Charles John Brown D.D., Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines.

The International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, previously recognized as the first National Shrine in the region, has now achieved international recognition, marking a significant milestone for the Catholic community. The Symbolical Coronation, a poignant and symbolic act, preceded the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, signifying the beginning of a spiritual odyssey as an International Shrine.

The event was presided over by Most Rev. Charles John Brown D.D., Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, who played a pivotal role in leading the faithful through this historic transition. The Symbolical Coronation, a time-honored ritual in the Catholic tradition, was a powerful visual representation of the Blessed Virgin Mary's prominence in the International Shrine's journey towards becoming a beacon of faith for the global community.

Hundreds of priests from the Diocese of Antipolo also gathered at the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage to witness and participate in the Solemn Declaration. Their presence added to the solemnity of the occasion, reinforcing the unity and support from the broader Catholic community.
