Bawat Buhay Mahalaga: Rescuing Pets Amidst The Fury Of Typhoon Kristine
Typhoon Kristine didn’t just turn the lives of people upside down; it also wreaked havoc on the lives of beloved pets who were left struggling and, in some cases, separated from their families.

In Camarines Sur, as the Philippine Red Cross carried out rescue operations, their team stumbled upon a heart-wrenching scene: three dogs stranded on the roof of a house submerged in floodwaters, looking weary and clearly hungry. Beside them lay a sack of pet food, untouched yet offering a glimmer of hope.

Without a second thought, one of the volunteers climbed up to reach the dogs, bringing food and water to the furry survivors. The response from the dogs was instant—they eagerly approached the rescuer, tails wagging with excitement and relief. The touching moment was captured in photos, showing the dogs affectionately nuzzling the rescuer, as if to say "thank you" in their own special way.

It’s these small acts of compassion that remind us why every life matters, whether human or animal, especially during challenging times like this. Typhoon Kristine may have tested the resilience of many, but the spirit of kindness and unity continues to shine through.
