Bong Go Tops Latest Senate Preference Survey: Vows To Keep 'Malasakit' At The Heart Of Service

Senator Bong Go is once again proving to be a favorite among voters, taking the top spot in the latest independent survey conducted by Publicus Asia, Inc. on October 16-17. The survey asked 1,500 respondents to name their senatorial picks without any prompts, and Go emerged as the number one "top-of-mind" choice for the upcoming 2025 elections.

The results didn’t stop there. Even when the survey showed respondents a list of officially declared candidates—those who filed their certificates of candidacy earlier this month—Go still led the pack, with a solid 35% voter preference. His strong showing in both unaided and aided polls speaks to the public’s continued trust in his leadership and track record.

"Nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang ibinibigay ninyo sa akin," Go said, expressing his gratitude for the support he’s been receiving. He promised to continue serving the public with "malasakit" (compassion) and to give his all in helping Filipinos, especially those in need.

As "Mr. Malasakit," Go is known for his push to make healthcare more accessible across the country. He spearheaded the establishment of Malasakit Centers, which now number 166 nationwide, providing assistance to over 15 million Filipinos in accessing medical support. His role as Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography has only strengthened his mission, with plans to expand healthcare services even further.

Go isn’t stopping there. He aims to set up more Super Health Centers and implement the recently passed Regional Specialty Centers Act, which he sponsored. He’s also focused on reforms in PhilHealth to offer better benefits, lower premium contributions, and provide more comprehensive healthcare coverage.

But it's not all about health. Go is also pushing for improvements in education, disaster resilience, job creation, sports, and public safety. His advocacy for the people goes beyond policy—it’s personal.

"Palagi ko ngang sinasabi, ’Bisyo ko ang magserbisyo’," he said, explaining that serving the public isn’t just a job for him; it’s his passion. And as he gears up for the 2025 elections, it seems clear that Bong Go’s malasakit is resonating with voters, who are rallying behind him to keep delivering the services they need.
