The moment ARMY has been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived—BTS’s j-hope is officially back from his military service. On October 17, the beloved artist was discharged after completing 18 months as a training instructor at the 36th Infantry Division in Gangwon Province.

It was a day of celebration and heartfelt emotions, and j-hope wasn’t alone in marking the occasion. Fellow BTS member Jin, who himself recently finished his own service, was right there by his side. Jin even held the mic for j-hope during his speech, making the moment extra special for the two friends and fans alike.

In a touching address, j-hope expressed his gratitude: “First of all, thank you so much. I completed my service in good health. I’m really grateful.” He went on to share some insights from his time in the military, revealing how much the experience meant to him.

“During my one year and six months of military life, I served as an instructor, so I went on many marches. Every time, I saw many citizens of Wonju. I want to convey my gratitude to the citizens of Wonju who always greeted me and supported me. It was very touching,” he said, recalling the warmth he felt from the local community.

He also took a moment to recognize the dedication of his fellow soldiers. “What I really felt over the past one year and six months is the immense dedication and hard work of the soldiers who protect our country. They are doing so much for the nation. I feel as if it will be meaningful to give those people warm interest and love.”

With j-hope’s return, ARMY is buzzing with excitement, eagerly anticipating his next moves both with BTS and his solo projects. As the group’s members continue to reunite one by one, the countdown to BTS’s full reunion feels closer than ever. For now, let’s celebrate j-hope’s return and the inspiring journey he has completed.
