Former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis Chavit Singson has extended his sincerest apologies for an incident involving the overtaking of his vehicle in the bus lane. Acknowledging the violation as improper, Singson has instructed MMDA enforcers to issue violation tickets to his drivers.

Singson clarified that the vehicle in question, though lacking a plate number, possesses complete registration papers. He explained that it is a newly manufactured vehicle by BMW, under his armoring car solution company, Baluarte Motor Works.

Furthermore, Singson commended the MMDA officials for their commendable performance and impartial treatment of all motorists. In a gesture of appreciation, he has announced a supplementary prize of 100,000 pesos, separate from the violation fine, to be awarded to the officials involved in apprehending him, as arranged through Chairman Romando Artes.
