In an intense crackdown on unauthorized LPG activities, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit 3-RSOT, in partnership with the Bulacan PFU and local police, scored big in a raid at the Marilao Industrial Compound, Brgy. Mahabang Parang, Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Hon. Adonis A. Laure of the Regional Trial Court, authorities swooped in on November 21, 2024, targeting operations violating Republic Act No. 623, as amended by R.A. No. 5700. The law regulates the use of marked LPG containers, and it was clear this facility wasn’t playing by the rules.

The raid uncovered a treasure trove of illegal equipment and materials. From original and repainted Pryce Gas LPG cylinders to high-tech tools like weighing scales, refilling hoses, pumps, compressors, and storage tanks, the haul is valued at a whopping Php 5,708,455.00.

While no arrests were made on-site, with only a checker identified as "Olga" present during the operation, CIDG’s efforts are far from over. The seized equipment is now in their custody for documentation and further probing.

PBGEN Torre assured the public that they’re hot on the trail of those responsible. "While no arrests have been made, we assure the public that efforts to locate and apprehend the suspects are ongoing, and we urge them to surrender voluntarily. This operation highlights our commitment to enforcing regulations against unauthorized LPG activities to ensure public safety, dahil ang gusto ng pulis ligtas ka."

This raid isn’t just a victory for the CIDG; it’s a strong warning to others engaging in illegal LPG activities. Public safety remains the top priority, and the authorities are determined to keep it that way.
