In a major breakthrough, the Critical Incident Management Task Group (CIMTG) “Eastman,” together with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), has made significant headway in solving the recent kidnapping of Elliot Eastman. Their combined efforts and relentless dedication have culminated in the arrest of three suspects believed to have played a direct role in the crime, and the filing of criminal complaints against six suspects, highlighting the Task Group's determination to bring justice to Eastman and his family.

As of October 29, 2024, the CIMTG and NBI-WEMRO have formally charged the six main suspects, including other unidentified accomplices, under Article 267 of the Revised Penal Code for “Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention.” The complaints were filed at Sindangan’sProvincial Prosecutor's Office following a comprehensive investigation that combined intelligence, tactical maneuvers, and close cooperation with local authorities.

While three suspects are now in custody, investigators have identified three additional individuals who were directly involved in the abduction. CIMTG "Eastman" and allied agencies are working tirelessly, continuing search and rescue operations across the Zamboanga Peninsula. Their ultimate goal remains locating and securing Eastman, with every effort focused on reuniting him safely with his family.

PRO 9 expressed deep gratitude to all stakeholders, local leaders, and communities who have supported their mission. Authorities are encouraging the public to come forward with any information that might assist in resolving the case, emphasizing the collective responsibility to protect the safety and future of the Zamboanga Peninsula. “If you know something, say something. Let’s bring Elliot Eastman home.”

This case is a powerful reminder of the importance of vigilance and collaboration in keeping communities safe and securing justice for those affected.
