Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. and Philippine National Police Chief General Rommel Francisco Marbil said one of the co-accused in the trafficking charges against Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was arrested.

Abalos identified the suspect as Paulene Canada.

Canada was apprehended on July 11 at around 1:00 PM in Emily Homes Subdivision, Davao City. The arrest was carried out based on a warrant issued by the authorities.

Earlier on July 9 around 9:30 AM, an anonymous caller alerted the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division in Region 11, Davao City, reporting a woman resembling Canada as depicted in a wanted poster with a PHP 1 million reward.

This tip-off prompted intensive surveillance operations involving intelligence operatives from various government agencies.

"Lumiliit na ang mga pinagtataguan ninyo, lumiliit na ang mga lugar na ito dahil hindi titigil ang kapulisan ang military ang buong pwersa ng gobyerno upang kayo ay dakipin. Ang amin lang pong mensahe ay please Kung talagang wala kayong kasalanan, sumuko na kayo. Ganun lang kasimple," Abalos said.

In addition to Paulene Canada, four other individuals — Crisente and Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Cemañes, and Jackielyn Roy — are also subjects of a P1 million bounty each for their arrest.

Meanwhile, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy remains wanted with a PHP10 million bounty.

The government continues its efforts to apprehend all involved in the case, urging those with knowledge of the suspects' whereabouts to come forward and assist in the pursuit of justice.
