Creamline asserted its dominance in a pulsating four-set encounter against Choco Mucho at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Despite facing adversity in multiple sets, the Cool Smashers rallied behind their seasoned veterans and resilient bench players, ultimately clinching a 24-26, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16 triumph.

In front of a roaring crowd of 17,457, adorned in hues of purple and pink, Creamline delivered a masterclass performance, defying the odds and silencing the relentless onslaught of a determined Flying Titans squad. Their unparalleled championship pedigree, forged through years of finals appearances and title triumphs, was on full display as they exuded confidence and tenacity throughout the grueling two-hour and 12-minute encounter.

Led by the dynamic duo of Jema Galanza and Tots Carlos, Creamline orchestrated a symphony of power and finesse on the court, supported by gritty contributions from bench players such as Bea de Leon, Michele Gumabao, Bernadette Pons, and Mafe Galanza.

Reflecting on their victory, Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses emphasized the importance of maintaining focus despite the lead in the series, stating, "Kailangan talaga maka-dalawa ka so no need to celebrate talaga. Importante nakuha namin yung Game 1 then tatrabahuhin namin yung Game 2."

The fourth set epitomized Creamline’s relentless pursuit of victory, clawing its way back from a deficit to seal the win and cement their status as the team to beat in the conference.

Galanza, whose stellar performance earned her the Best Player of the Game honors, highlighted the team’s refusal to succumb to adversity, stating, “Ayokong matapos ang game na ito na hindi kami mananalo.”

With Game 2 looming on the horizon, Creamline remains poised to continue their march towards PVL glory, while Choco Mucho aims to regroup and devise strategies to halt their rivals’ relentless advance.

In the balanced offensive showcase, Carlos backed Galanza with 17 markers while de Leon, Alyssa Valdez, Pons, Gumabao, and Pangs Panaga contributed significantly to Creamline's victory.

Despite their best efforts, Choco Mucho faltered in delivering the decisive finishing kick required to overcome the formidable Cool Smashers, setting the stage for an intense Game 2 showdown.
