In a striking image shared by local resident Dondon Dela Cruz, the aftermath shows homes flattened and even the community basketball court heavily damaged—a sobering reminder of the storm’s wrath.
Pepito’s Current Threat
As of the latest advisory at 2:00 PM today, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warns of a potentially life-threatening situation as Pepito approaches Aurora with ferocious winds of up to 185 km/h and gusts reaching 230 km/h. The storm is moving northwest at 20 km/h, and its typhoon-force winds extend as far as 300 kilometers from the center.

Signal No. 5: Central Aurora and parts of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya brace for the highest wind threat, with extreme risks to life and property.
