Did Miley Cyrus Really Copy Bruno Mars For Her Hit 'Flowers'? New Lawsuit Says Yes

Miley Cyrus is facing some legal heat for her chart-topping hit "Flowers," and it’s all because of a Bruno Mars classic. According to a new lawsuit, a company called Tempo Music Investments claims Miley's mega-hit is just a little *too* similar to Bruno's 2013 ballad "When I Was Your Man."

The lawsuit, filed by Tempo Music, accuses Miley of "intentionally copying" Bruno's song, specifically pointing to the melody, harmony, and chorus. They say the similarities between the two songs are no coincidence, and even suggest that the chord progressions and some of the lyrics in "Flowers" mirror those in Bruno's emotional track. If you've heard both songs, you might notice that Bruno’s “When I Was Your Man” is a heartfelt apology to an ex, while Miley’s “Flowers” is a powerful self-love anthem. But according to Tempo Music, without Bruno’s track, Miley’s Grammy-winning song wouldn’t even exist.

So, what’s the deal? Tempo Music isn’t messing around — they want Miley to stop performing and distributing "Flowers." And of course, they’re also asking for damages. Bruno Mars himself, however, is not involved in the lawsuit.

Miley’s hit “Flowers” has taken the world by storm, but if Tempo Music’s claims hold up, her bouquet of accolades might wither in the face of legal consequences. Do you think the songs are too close for comfort, or is it just a musical coincidence?
