The PNP in Pasay confirmed the arrest of Deo Balbuena, also more popularly known as Diwata, stating, "Our authorities from the subpoena and warrant section apprehended him based on a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Allan Ariola for a slight physical injuries case. Bail was set at 3,000 pesos for his temporary liberty, leading to his arrest on April 16, 2024."

They added, "Arrangements for his bail were promptly made on the morning of his arrest. With assistance from his staff in obtaining the necessary requirements, he was able to post bail and return home that afternoon."
