Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista asserts that the two-day strike organized by transport groups Manibela and Piston failed to achieve its objectives, as government efforts successfully mitigated its impact.

During the Land Transportation Office's 112th founding anniversary, Secretary Bautista acknowledged the localized traffic disruptions caused by the strike but emphasized the government's readiness to address transport issues promptly.

Secretary Bautista cautioned that protesters may face scrutiny and potential traffic violation charges, including obstruction of traffic, following assessments by various government agencies such as the LTO, LTFRB, MMDA, and PNP.

While affirming the protesters' right to voice their concerns, Secretary Bautista urged them to do so responsibly, without jeopardizing the welfare of commuters and motorists. He stressed that while grievances should be aired, they should not come at the expense of public convenience and safety.
