Farewell, Nectar: A Heartfelt Goodbye To Manila's Iconic Queer Space

It’s the end of an era for Nectar Nightclub, and we’re not crying—you’re crying! After eight vibrant years of unforgettable parties, fierce performances, and a lot of love, Nectar is officially closing its doors on December 31, 2024. With The Fort’s impending closure, this queer haven is bidding us adieu in style, with a lineup of farewell events you won’t want to miss.

Since its opening in October 2016, Nectar has been more than just a nightclub. It’s been a safe space where the LGBTQ+ community could thrive, dance, and connect. The launch of Nectar 2.0 in 2019 cemented its status as the go-to destination for premium LGBT nightlife, setting the standard for inclusivity and celebration.

Through every beat of the music, every Drag Cartel show, and every friendship formed on the dance floor, Nectar became a second home for many. So while it’s hard to say goodbye, there’s plenty to celebrate as we toast to its legacy.

Here’s the farewell party calendar to mark in your planners:

Nectar Finale Events
- Wed, Dec 4: Poison Christmas Tree Lighting
- Wed, Dec 11: Poison’s 8th Year Anniversary Party
- Thu, Dec 12: Drag Cartel Season 6 Special
- Thu, Dec 19: Drag Cartel December Finale
- Wed, Dec 25: MaliGAYang Pasko!
- Fri, Dec 27: The Final Friday
- Sat, Dec 28: The Final Saturday
- Sun, Dec 29: Last Dance - The Official Closing Party
- Mon, Dec 30: TBA
- Tue, Dec 31: New Year’s Eve 2025 - Nectar’s Grand Finale

But wait—there’s more! Nectar fans can hold onto hope, as the team is already planning for Nectar 3.0 While we don’t know when or where it will land, you can bet it’ll be worth the wait.
