Former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo has secured her temporary freedom after posting bail amounting to P540,000 for two counts of graft, as ordered by the Valenzuela Regional Trial Court (RTC).

Following the payment of her bail, a release order was issued, and Guo was taken to Camp Crame for processing. As part of the procedure, she underwent a medical checkup to ensure her well-being before further steps are taken.

However, this is not the end of her legal troubles. Guo is set to be transferred to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory, in connection with an arrest warrant issued by the Pasig RTC on a separate case of qualified human trafficking.

While she managed to post bail for the graft charges, Guo still faces serious allegations in the human trafficking case, a development that will continue to unfold in the coming days.
