Gibo Denounces Fake BBM Video At Maisug Rally
Screengrab from GIBO Teodoro PH
Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilbert "Gibo" Teodoro condemned a fake video that surfaced from a Maisug Rally event outside the Philippines.

The video, which was falsely presented as depicting President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., is part of a larger, malicious plan to destabilize the Philippine government, according to Teodoro.

Teodoro clarified that the video was not of President Marcos but was instead a fabricated piece of misinformation. He expressed deep concern over the attempt to discredit the president and the administration through this deceitful content. The video was reportedly released in Los Angeles, California, raising suspicions that the perpetrators chose this location to avoid Philippine jurisdiction.

"This is clearly a well-orchestrated attempt to undermine our government," Teodoro said. "We are working closely with U.S. authorities to investigate those behind this incident and ensure they face justice."

Teodoro reaffirmed the unwavering support of the DND, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and other government agencies for President Marcos, the constitutional chain of command, and the Philippine Constitution. He stressed that such attempts to weaken the government would be met with firm resistance.

"We stand strong behind our president and our laws," he added. "We will not let these malicious actors divide our nation. We urge all Filipinos to stand united in support of our Constitution and sovereignty."
