Gone Too Soon: Actress Kim Sae Ron Passes Away At 24

South Korean actress Kim Sae Ron, best known for her roles in The Man from Nowhere and Hi! School: Love On, has passed away at the age of 24.
According to police reports, the Seoul Seongdong Police Station received a call around 5 p.m. KST on February 16. Authorities stated that there were no signs of foul play and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her passing. The police also urged the public to refrain from speculation out of respect for Kim’s family and loved ones.
Kim was reportedly found by a friend she was supposed to meet that day.
A Career That Started Young
Kim Sae Ron entered the entertainment industry at just nine years old, making her debut in A Brand New Life (2009). But it was her performance in the 2010 action-thriller The Man from Nowhere, alongside Won Bin, that truly put her on the map. The film became a massive hit, cementing her reputation as one of South Korea’s most promising young actresses.
She later starred in notable dramas like Hi! School: Love On, Love Playlist, and The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim. Her last project was the 2023 Netflix series Bloodhounds, where she had a supporting role.
