Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla declared openness to any investigation into the alleged operations of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) in Cavite province. He said that he would not hinder any investigative efforts or inspections, including those concerning an island resort reportedly converted into a gaming center.

Remulla underscored the importance of following due process and coordination, particularly with the police and the necessity of proper search warrants.

Remulla clarified that no reports regarding illegal POGO activities have reached their office, emphasizing that such matters fall under the jurisdiction of Pagcor, which handles tax payments and franchise issues independently. He also asserted that the provincial government neither benefits from nor is involved in revenue generated by Island Cove or any POGO operations.

Furthermore, Governor Remulla reiterated that his family no longer owns the mentioned property, having sold it to a Filipino-Chinese company in 2018. He emphasized that since the sale, his family has had no involvement in any transactions or operations related to the property, nor have they interfered in any interrogations or clearances associated with it.

"We sold it in 2018, and since then, we are completely divorced from any transactions. We didn't interfere, we weren't part of any interrogations or clearances. The Provincial government and DOJ had no involvement in implementing that Project," said Governor Jonvic Remulla.
