What began as a routine welfare check for 32-year-old Melissa Jubane, a dedicated nurse at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, ended in a tragic discovery that has left the Beaverton community in shock and mourning.

When Melissa didn’t show up for her morning shift on September 4th, her friends, coworkers, and family members immediately knew something was wrong. Always reliable and devoted to her job, it was unlike Melissa to simply disappear without a word. Concerns quickly escalated, and the Beaverton Police Department was called in for a welfare check at her apartment in the quiet neighborhood of SW 160th Avenue.

Officers arrived, searched the complex, and checked all possible leads, including her phone records and financial activity, but it seemed Melissa had vanished into thin air. With no sign of her and her phone turned off, the situation became increasingly dire. By the afternoon, she was officially listed as a missing person in national databases.
