The House of Representatives has approved the P6.352-trillion budget for 2025 with a landslide 285-3 vote. After eight sessions filled with detailed scrutiny, lawmakers ensured that every peso is allocated to critical priorities and impactful programs.

Speaker of the House Ferdinand Martin Romualdez couldn’t hide his pride as he celebrated this significant milestone, saying, “We remain true to our objective to pursue an agenda for prosperity, and enable every Filipino to directly experience and equitably share in the gains brought by our collective and solid efforts."

With the budget now in place, the government is gearing up to implement vital projects that promise to drive economic growth and tackle pressing challenges. Minority Leader Rep. Marcelino Libanan also acknowledged the hard work of his colleagues, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in making this swift approval possible.

As the House gears up for final tweaks, members are encouraged to submit their amendments by September 27. The urgency? President Marcos has certified that this budget is essential for keeping critical government functions running smoothly and addressing emerging challenges head-on.
