The real identity of Bamban Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has come under scrutiny after Senator Win Gatchalian raised questions about her past. Documents provided by the Board of Investments (BOI) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) suggest that Mayor Guo might actually be Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national who entered the Philippines on January 12, 2003, at the age of 13.

According to the BOI’s records, Guo Hua Ping was born on August 31, 1990, and her registered mother under the Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV) application is Lin Wenyi. This discovery casts doubt on the authenticity of Mayor Guo’s background and her eligibility to hold public office.

Senator Gatchalian is urging the relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate these allegations to ensure transparency and uphold the integrity of public office. "The people deserve to know the truth about those who serve them," he stated.

Mayor Guo has yet to comment on these allegations. The revelation has sparked a broader debate on the screening processes for public officials and the need for stricter background checks.
