The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is currently affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, bringing varied weather conditions across the regions. Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Visayas, and the Zamboanga Peninsula are experiencing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, raising concerns about possible flash floods or landslides triggered by moderate to heavy rainfall.

Aurora and Quirino are under the influence of easterlies, also seeing cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, with similar risks of flash floods or landslides. The rest of Mindanao is reporting partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, again attributed to the ITCZ, with potential flash floods or landslides during severe storms. In contrast, Cagayan Valley and the rest of Central Luzon, influenced by easterlies, and the remaining areas of Luzon, affected by localized thunderstorms, are experiencing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with severe storms posing a risk of flash floods or landslides.

In related news, a landslide occurred on July 5, 2024, at Purok 2, Cotcot in Brgy. Lanca, Mati. This landslide has made the area passable only for motorcycles.
