Julia Montes is making a heartfelt return to primetime television, taking on the lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the beloved Japanese series "Mother" by Nippon TV. Titled "Saving Grace," this marks Julia's first major teleserye since "Asintado" back in 2019, with intermittent appearances in the limited series "24/7" before the pandemic disrupted productions, including her shelved project "Burado." Now, in 2024, Julia is gearing up for what promises to be a poignant comeback.

"This project is really special to me because it was the last conversation I had with Sir Deo," Julia shared, visibly moved. "The plan for 'Saving Grace' is ambitious, and the storyline is profoundly beautiful. The series carries important lessons and a narrative that resonates deeply."

Julia's emotions ran high as she reflected on the significance of "Saving Grace," a project entrusted to her by the late Dreamscape Entertainment executive, Deo Endrinal.

"It's special to me because... beyond the title, it's like 'Saving Mara'—Sir Deo saved me," Julia explained, her voice wavering. "Personally and professionally, I felt Sir Deo was one of the few who truly believed in me. From 'Mara Clara' onward, I never imagined I would be given the role of Clara, but Sir Deo said, 'You can do it.' He was always my staunch supporter."

"Saving Grace" promises a narrative filled with intense drama and suspense, a challenge Julia embraces despite her nerves, buoyed by the trust Sir Deo placed in her.

"I often ask myself, can I do this? That's always my question. But when I spoke with Sir Deo, he said, 'This is for you,' and I simply replied, 'Okay, Sir.'"
