Bacolod’s beloved animal rescue group, BACH Project PH (Bacolod Animal Chance & Hope), is on a mission—not just to save and rehome animals, but to fight for justice.

A heartbreaking case of animal cruelty has shaken the community: a stray dog was found with an arrow lodged in its body in Hacienda Puyas, Blumentritt, Murcia. Now, BACH Project PH is leading the charge to find the person responsible, and with the help of donors, they’ve raised ₱65,000 as a reward for information leading to the suspect’s identification.

Community Steps Up for Justice

Initially, an anonymous donor pledged ₱10,000 to help bring the perpetrator to light. But the support didn’t stop there—Senator JV Ejercito joined the cause, adding ₱15,000 to the reward. With even more donations pouring in, the total now stands at ₱65,000.

In their official post, BACH Project PH urged anyone with solid evidence to come forward: "Justice must be served for this innocent dog."

BACH Project PH: Guardians of Negros’ Strays

For years, BACH Project PH has been a beacon of hope for animals in Negros Island. Run entirely by volunteers, they dedicate their time and resources to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abused and abandoned animals. But cases like this highlight the harsh reality of animal cruelty that still exists.

If you have any information about this tragic case, now’s the time to speak up. Justice for the voiceless starts with us.
