Justin Timberlake was arrested early Tuesday in the Hamptons after being stopped by police for suspected drunken driving. According to the criminal complaint, Timberlake claimed to have consumed just "one martini" before the incident but refused to take a Breathalyzer test three times.

Police reports describe Timberlake as having bloodshot and glassy eyes, emitting a strong odor of alcohol, and exhibiting impaired motor skills and speech. During roadside sobriety tests, officers noted he was unsteady on his feet and unable to follow instructions properly.

The incident began when an officer observed Timberlake's gray BMW reportedly blow a stop sign and swerve out of his lane around 12:17 a.m. The officer, unaware of Timberlake's identity, detected signs of intoxication upon stopping him.

Despite being informed of his rights and the consequences, Timberlake allegedly refused multiple requests for a chemical test to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was subsequently handcuffed, taken to the East Hampton Town Police Headquarters, and later arraigned in court.

Timberlake, currently on a world tour, reportedly expressed concern that the arrest would affect his tour plans. He has hired prominent attorney Eddie Burke Jr., who is handling his defense in this case.

The 10-time Grammy winner faces charges of driving while intoxicated, as well as citations for running a stop sign and erratic driving. Timberlake, known for his past struggles with excessive drinking, has not yet commented publicly on the incident.
