Justine Dorog has officially retired from competitive play to embark on a coaching journey with Farm Fresh.

The announcement, made on Wednesday, marks a significant transition for the Catmon, Cebu native, as she takes on the role of full-time assistant coach to Jerry Yee at Farm Fresh for the upcoming 2024 PVL season.

Having conquered every level of competitive volleyball in the country, Dorog expressed a profound sense of fulfillment in her decision, stating, “I think nagawa ko na lahat ng gusto ko gawin as a player” (I have done everything I wanted to do as a player). This declaration signifies her belief that she has achieved all her athletic goals.

Eager to immerse herself in coaching, Dorog is poised to become an integral part of the Farm Fresh coaching staff. In an added commitment, she revealed, “I’ll be a part of the Farm Fresh coaching staff and at the same time, may hawak akong high school team” (I'll be handling a high school team).

The 25-year-old’s connection with Jerry Yee dates back to 2015 when she was a key recruit during Yee's coaching tenure at the University of the Philippines.

Afterward, she played for Chery Tiggo and Gerflor before reuniting with Yee in the previous season.

Now equipped with a wealth of experience and knowledge accumulated throughout her playing career, Dorog is ready to pass on her skills to the next generation of players. Expressing her passion for this new role, she stated, “I'm very passionate about this. I love sharing everything I learned while playing. I'll focus on this and watch the young ones shine from the sidelines.”
