Karylle shared a touching tribute about her father who passed away. She penned a heartfelt message about Papa M, or as she affectionately called him, Doc, Dr. ‘M,’ Moy, and Tito M.

"It's with deep sorrow that I share the news of my dad's passing," Karylle wrote. "Papa M was a larger-than-life presence—always the life of the party with his radiant smile, youthful charm, and booming voice."

She reminisced about her father's vibrant personality and the joy he brought into every room. A true Baguio boy and Laguna lad at heart, Papa M was a topnotcher in his field and a man of many passions. He was known for his love of basketball, especially his no-look shots, and his playful spirit that turned every road trip into a fun-filled picnic, complete with a neon pink frisbee and a basketball.

Karylle fondly remembered how her dad believed in enjoying life to the fullest, stating, "If your white rubber shoes weren’t dirty enough, it meant you weren’t having enough fun!" His infectious enthusiasm made him a beloved figure at school events and a dream dad for many, including Karylle herself.

She also shared how Papa M’s life was rich with relationships, noting that he was deeply cherished by his patients and friends. He was a proud "Lolo M" to his grandchildren, who adored him for his playful antics and loving nature.

Karylle expressed gratitude for the time they shared, especially highlighting how Papa M saw her perform in "Little Shop of Horrors" four times—a cherished memory that linked them through their shared love of the movie.

Though it breaks her heart to think of the times they could have spent together, she finds solace in the many memories they created. “As my best friend Diane told me, our last moments don’t define the lifetime of love I have for him. I will always love him and miss him.”

Karylle concluded her post with a touching note of thanks: “Thank you, Lord, for Papa M.” In her words, we find a portrait of a life well-lived and a love that endures beyond words.
