Kim Chiu And Vice Ganda Call Out Fake News About Duterte's Arrest: 'Huwag Paniwalaan!'

Looks like fake news strikes again—this time dragging Kim Chiu and Vice Ganda into the chaos. The two stars recently took to social media to clear their names after a fabricated post circulated online, claiming they had commented on the supposed arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte. And let’s just say, they are not having it.

Vice Ganda: "FAKE NEWS!"

Vice Ganda wasted no time shutting down the false statement attributed to him. In a firm and straightforward post, he wrote:

"FAKE NEWS! Huwag paniwalaan ang kumakalat na pahayag na ito! Wala po akong inilabas o sinabi na ganitong statement. Maging mapanuri at huwag basta maniwala sa impormasyong walang malinaw o opisyal na pinagmulan. Please report!"

Translation? Don’t believe everything you see online! The Unkabogable Star reminded everyone to fact-check before falling for misleading claims.

Kim Chiu: “#FactCheck muna bago manghusga!”

Meanwhile, Kim Chiu also set the record straight with her own statement, urging netizens to be more responsible when sharing information:

"Mahalaga po mag #FactCheck bago manghusga at akusahan ang isang tao. Let’s all be responsible citizens. Magtulungan tayo wag magsiraan. God bless po ang lahat."

Kim’s message was clear: misinformation does nothing but create unnecessary division.

“Hala, nakakaloka! Bat ako nasali dyan?!” – Kim Chiu

But Kim didn’t stop there—she also posted a more relatable reaction, full of her signature energy and humor:

"Hala nakakaloka! Bat ako nasali dyan?!!! Like o to the M to the G!!!! Busy ako sa ibang bagay. Dyosko wag nyoko isali sa ganyan. Parang awa nyo na. Ang gulo na po ng mundong ibabaw 馃槴 wag na tayo dumagdag. Dyosko nalang talaga. 馃"

Now that is peak Kim Chiu energy! And honestly, same, girl. The world is already chaotic enough—do we really need more drama?

The Takeaway: Stop the Spread of Fake News

With how fast information spreads on social media, both Kim and Vice are reminding everyone to double-check their sources before sharing anything online. Whether you're a fan or not, one thing's for sure: nobody wants their name dragged into a mess they have nothing to do with.

So, next time you see a shocking claim online? Do what Kim and Vice said—Fact-check first before you react!
