Magnitude 6.7 Earthquake Strikes Near Balut Island

A powerful earthquake measuring Magnitude 6.7 with its epicenter located 368 km southeast of Balut Island in the Municipality of Sarangani rattled the region Tuesday Afternoon.
The quake, with a depth of focus of 10 km, originated from tectonic activity. While some areas experienced low-intensity tremors, including Malungon in Sarangani and Don Marcelino in Davao Occidental, no significant damage is expected.
