Makabayan Coalition Rolls Out 11th Senatorial Candidate For Eleksyon 2025

The Makabayan Coalition has revealed their 11th senatorial candidate for Eleksyon 2025: Amirah “Mek” Lidasan. A passionate human rights defender and seasoned activist, Mek has been championing the rights of the Moro and Indigenous Peoples since her university days at UP.

This announcement follows the unveiling of their first ten candidates last August, all hailed as “true advocates for the Filipino people.” Here’s the lineup so far:

• France Castro (ACT Teachers party-list, House Deputy Minority Leader)
• Arlene Brosas (Gabriela Women’s Party party-list, House Assistant Minority Leader)
• Mody Floranda (PISTON transport group)
• Mimi Doringo (Kadamay)
• Jocelyn Andamo (Filipino Nurses United)
• Jerome Adonis (Kilusang Mayo)
• Liza Maza (former National Anti-Poverty Commission chairperson)
• Teddy Casiño (former Bayan Muna party-list Representative)
• Ronnel Arambulo (Pamalakaya vice chairperson)
• Danilo Ramos (Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas chairman)

With a roster packed with advocates for social justice and change, the Makabayan Coalition is gearing up for a powerful campaign in the upcoming elections.
