The heat is on for former Presidential Spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque as authorities step up their efforts to track him down. The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) recently tried to serve an arrest order, but Roque was nowhere to be found at his two Metro Manila addresses, according to PNP Acting Chief PIO PCol. Jean Fajardo.

The manhunt comes after the House Quad Committee issued a detention order citing Roque in contempt for failing to submit critical tax records and documents needed in their ongoing investigation. It’s not just Roque on the radar—his wife, Myla Roque, is also being sought for alleged connections to illegal POGOs (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators).

Rep. Dan Fernandez, co-chair of the House Quad Committee, didn’t mince words when discussing the situation, stating, "The PNP is now fully engaged in the manhunt for Atty. Harry Roque, and we are coordinating closely with the National Capital Region Police Office and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to ensure his swift apprehension. No one is above the law, and we will not tolerate anyone defying the authority of Congress or evading accountability."

While Roque has denied all allegations against him, the clock is ticking as the Quad Committee is expected to continue its hearings this week.
