Maricel Soriano Denies Allegations In 'Leaked' PDEA Report

Veteran actress Maricel Soriano addressed allegations stemming from a purported leaked PDEA report during a Senate hearing Tuesday (May 7).

Senator Bato Dela Rosa questioned Soriano about the viral document implicating her.

"First of all, I don't know anything about those documents. I only found out about them when they were shown to me because I don't read such things. I have no knowledge," Soriano responded.

Dela Rosa then inquired about a property in Rockwell, specifically Unit 46-C Rizal Tower, which Soriano confirmed owning until 2012 when she sold it.

Pressed further, Dela Rosa referenced reports from 2011 where former household helpers accused Soriano of cocaine use, to which Soriano vehemently denied.

"I deny that. It's not true," Soriano asserted.

However, acknowledging the departure of two former household helpers, Soriano attributed it to theft rather than any alleged assault.

As the hearing progressed, Soriano delivered a prepared statement expressing her unfamiliarity and apprehension with such proceedings.

"I received an invitation from Senator Bato Dela Rosa to provide a comment on the issue being discussed here in the hearing. First of all, I apologize because I am not accustomed to this. You know, it's really my first time receiving an invitation to appear in the Senate. It's nerve-wracking and scary," Soriano expressed.

Throughout the hearing, Soriano maintained her stance of denial regarding the allegations presented against her.
