A Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcer, who garnered attention for being caught traversing the EDSA bus lane and fleeing an operation by the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT) on April 30, has been terminated from his position.

The MMDA identified the employee as Dexter Rasonabe. He was a job order employee.

Rasonabe faced MMDA Acting Chairman lawyer Don Artes today admitted to passing through the bus lane and fleeing, citing the reason that he was supposedly rushing to work to avoid being late.

Artes emphasized that the agency does not condone any misconduct by its employees. "Part of our efforts to clean up our ranks involves dealing with road violators and those who break traffic laws," stated Artes.

Chairman Artes strictly prohibits all employees, including officials and directors, from using the Edsa busway.
