Mon Confiado isn't taking things lightly. The seasoned actor, known for his quiet demeanor and professionalism, is now making headlines for a different reason—standing up against a content creator who used his name and image in a joke that went too far.

In a recent Facebook post, Mon shared his frustration after filing a cybercrime complaint against Jeff Leanneroie Bonilla Jacinto, also known online as "ILEIAD." The actor was upset over a "Copypasta" joke—a type of online prank where users copy and paste humorous or exaggerated content. This particular joke, however, didn't sit well with Mon.

The content creator had posted a fictional story involving Mon in an unflattering scenario, where the actor allegedly acted rudely in a store and tried to leave without paying for 15 Milky Way Choco Bars. While ILEIAD later admitted it was all in jest, Mon wasn’t laughing.

“Joke at my expense? Bakit mo ko sisirain at idadamay sa joke mo? Bakit hindi mo i-joke ang pamilya mo? Bakit ako?” Mon fired back in the comments. He emphasized that while some might recognize it as a joke, others could take it seriously, potentially damaging his reputation.

Mon further explained in his post that as an actor, his name and image are his most valuable assets. Any damage to them could affect his ongoing projects, endorsements, and future opportunities. He highlighted that despite reaching out to the content creator to express his concerns, he was met with a dismissive attitude.

"Mr. Jeff Jacinto, uulitin ko, ako ay nananahimik at ginulo mo," Mon wrote. He also noted that the public apology issued by ILEIAD seemed insincere and sarcastic, making the situation even more upsetting.

Now, Mon is taking legal action. He has filed a cybercrime complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to make sure this incident serves as a lesson. “Seseryohin natin ito para maging aral sa ating lahat,” Mon said, making it clear that this is no joke.
