It seems things are getting worse for Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), as the Philippine National Police (PNP) revealed that more complaints have been coming in. The PNP said that during their presence at the KOJC compound in Davao City, several people approached them to claim they were also victims of Quiboloy's alleged abuse.

"May mga lumapit at sinasabing sila din daw ay inabuso [by Pastor Quiboloy],” PNP spokesperson PCOL. Jean Fajardo shared during a chance interview at Camp Crame on Wednesday. The PNP is now working closely with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to assist these victims, as most of the complaints came from concerned parents.

Quiboloy and his associates—Jackielyn Roy, Sylvia Cemañes, Ingrid, and Cresente Canada—surrendered to authorities on September 8 after being cornered inside a KOJC building in Davao. Now, the PNP is diving deeper into Quiboloy’s alleged criminal activities, and what they're finding isn't looking good.

PNP chief PGEN. Rommel Francisco Marbil said that more victims have stepped forward, revealing disturbing details about the systematic abuse that happened under Quiboloy’s influence. These individuals, referred to as "pastorals" within the church, reportedly endured exploitation and manipulation.

“These brave victims are finally speaking out, sharing their terrifying experiences. The abuse they went through shows a chilling pattern of control and exploitation,” Marbil stated. He added that the investigation has brought to light an “inner circle” of pastorals—young women allegedly subjected to sexual abuse by Quiboloy, with some victims as young as 12 years old.

Marbil made it clear that the PNP is leaving no stone unturned. “This is just the beginning. We’re committed to building a strong case against Quiboloy and his co-accused, ensuring justice for these victims.”

Aside from gathering evidence, the PNP is also making sure that the victims get the support they need, working hand-in-hand with different government agencies to provide them with protection and care.

Quiboloy's Legal Troubles Continue

As Quiboloy faces a growing list of allegations, his legal battles are heating up. There was some confusion over his arraignment schedule this Friday, but PNP spokesperson Fajardo clarified that the issue has been resolved.

Quiboloy and his co-accused will appear in person before the Pasig Regional Trial Court at 8:30 a.m., and later that day, their arraignment at the Quezon City RTC will proceed via videoconference at 1:30 p.m. The charges they’re facing are serious—qualified human trafficking and child sexual abuse, which have landed them in court.

Fajardo also mentioned that security measures are being worked out to safely transport Quiboloy and the others from Camp Crame to the Pasig court. Given the high-profile nature of this case, authorities are taking no chances with their security.

For now, Quiboloy and his associates will remain at the PNP Custodial Center as the case against them continues to unfold. As more victims come forward and investigations deepen, this is shaping up to be a lengthy legal battle.
