Regal Films producer Mother Lily Monteverde has confirmed the passing of her beloved husband, Leonardo Monteverde.

Born on December 25, 1937, Mr. Monteverde passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 86.

The wake for Mr. Monteverde will be held at 38 Valencia Events Place in Quezon City. Visitors are welcome to pay their respects starting July 30, from 3:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and continuing daily from July 31 to August 2, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with a daily mass at 7:00 PM.

Filmmaker Erik Matti extended his condolences to the Monteverde family, saying, “To the Monteverde family Lily Monteverde Meme, Roselle Monteverde, Dondon Monteverde, and Goldwyn, our deepest sympathies for the passing of Father Remy Monteverde. His legacy and contribution to Philippine cinema through Regal Films will always be remembered and recognized. He championed Filipino action movies, defining the genre with icons like Lito Lapid and Ace Vergel. Rest in peace, Father.”
