In a bid to ease congestion at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) has rolled out fresh terminal assignments for some of the country’s biggest airlines. During a briefing on Monday, September 9, NNIC General Manager Angelito Alvarez outlined the new arrangements, which will affect Philippine Airlines (PAL), Cebu Pacific, and AirAsia.

Under the new plan:

- Terminal 1 will be dedicated solely to Philippine Airlines (PAL).

- Terminal 2 will handle domestic flights for both PAL and Cebu Pacific.

- Terminal 3 will accommodate all international flights.

- Terminal 4 will be designated for AirAsia.

However, Alvarez clarified that there's no definite date yet for the implementation of these changes. While the plan is aimed at decongesting the airport, this will only take effect once everything is ready.

This move comes after several calls from NAIA officials to address the ongoing congestion issues at the airport. Travelers are advised to stay updated and be prepared for potential changes in their flight schedules once these new terminal assignments are enforced.
