The Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) has taken decisive action against Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, expelling her from the party amidst a backdrop of legal troubles.

Guo, currently serving a six-month suspension ordered by the Ombudsman, faces charges including human trafficking filed by the PAOCC and PNP-CIDG. NPC Chair Vicente Sotto III signed the expulsion letter addressed to Tarlac Governor Susan Yap, citing violations of party principles.

The move comes as Guo and several associates are embroiled in a qualified human trafficking case linked to a gaming hub raid earlier this year. Huang Zhiyang, a fugitive, and others allegedly involved in money laundering in Singapore are named in the complaint. An Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order against Guo and associates is anticipated.

The Bureau of Internal Revenue also plans to scrutinize Guo's financial activities closely, with potential tax evasion charges looming. Guo and two municipal officials remain suspended pending further legal proceedings.
