The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) have teamed up to file a qualified human trafficking complaint with the Department of Justice (DOJ). The complaint is directed against Cassandra Ong and several others concerning the alleged victims of a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) company, Lucky South 99, based in Porac, Pampanga.

The case stems from claims that individuals working under the POGO firm were subjected to unfair labor practices and other forms of exploitation. The PAOCC and PNP-CIDG, following investigations, gathered enough evidence to pursue legal action, hoping to bring justice to those who were allegedly trafficked.

This complaint is just one of several steps being taken to crack down on illegal activities linked to offshore gaming companies, with the PAOCC and PNP-CIDG leading the charge. The next move is now in the hands of the DOJ as it begins to review the case.
