TV host and actress Pauleen Luna couldn’t contain her gratitude as she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram following a court decision partially favoring her husband, Vic Sotto, in a legal battle against filmmaker Darryl Yap.

“We give thanks to the Lord for this court decision. 馃檹 The results are in, and the outcome is in our favor, confirming that the material released was malicious in nature. We won this case! 馃檹馃徏” Pauleen wrote, reflecting the relief and triumph the family felt.

The Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court 205 partially granted Vic Sotto’s petition for a writ of habeas data, ordering Darryl Yap and his team to remove the teaser video for the movie “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma” across all platforms. The court found the 26-second teaser, which included unverifiable dialogue between two deceased individuals, as a misuse of collected information. However, Yap was still permitted to proceed with the production and eventual release of the film.

For Pauleen, this victory is more than just a legal win. She expressed how it serves as a reminder of the importance of integrity in words and actions. “This victory is for our children and family, and we humbly lift our gratitude to Almighty God,” she said. Pauleen also took the opportunity to urge everyone to act responsibly online. “Let us all be mindful and responsible about posting/sharing malicious content about people. Let kindness and integrity guide us.”

The legal battle began when the controversial teaser video sparked outrage online, with many criticizing its potentially harmful and misleading narrative. Vic Sotto filed the petition to protect his family’s privacy and dignity, underscoring the importance of verifying information before releasing it to the public.

While the decision allows Yap to continue his creative pursuits, the court’s directive to delete the teaser video marks a significant milestone for the Sotto family. Pauleen’s message of gratitude and hope resonates with her followers, inspiring many to reflect on the power of words and the value of kindness.

As Pauleen said, “Let’s strive to uplift one another instead of causing harm.” A simple yet powerful reminder that even in challenging times, respect and empathy can make a world of difference.
